PRESS RELEASE The Ministry of Economy and Energy and the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) launch two calls for proposals for competitive selection of projects under the Operational programme "Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy" 2007-2013 On 20th July 2009 the Ministry of Economy and Energy – Managing Authority of the Operational programme "Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy" 2007-2013 and the Intermediate Body – the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) announce the extension of the duration of the call for proposals without a fixed deadline for application: 2007BG161PO003/1.1.1-01/2007: "Support for the creation and development of innovative start-up companies" and launch a calls for proposals for selection of projects meeting specific quality requirements without a fixed deadline for application: BG161PO003-1.2.01 "Support for the creation of technological parks". The extension of the duration of the call for proposals without a fixed deadline for application: 2007BG161PO003/1.1.1-01/2007: "Support for the creation and development of innovative start-up companies" is without a fixed deadline for application. The total amount of the financial aid is BGN 27 219 586,11. The launched call for proposals meeting specific quality requirements: BG161PO003-1.2.01 "Support for the creation of technological parks" is without a fixed deadline for application. The total amount of the financial aid is BGN 2 933 745. The project proposals that are approved for financing under this procedure have won 80 % of the maximum points or above. The approved projects under this calls are to be financed according to the entry order until exhausting the funds. The launched calls for proposal are implemented with the support of the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund. The projects will be implemented on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. The full package of documents and guidelines for application under the procedure are published on the website of the Operational Programme "Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy" 2007 -2013: www.opcompetitiveness.bg, on the website of the Intermediate Body - the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EAPSME): www.ibsme.org, as well as on the single general information portal on management of the Structural funds and Cohesion fund of the European Union in the Republic of Bulgaria: www.eufunds.bg. Proposals are to be submitted to the territorial units of the Intermediate Body of the Operational Programme "Development of the Competitiveness of the Bulgarian Economy" 2007 -2013 – the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EAPSME) in the cities of Blagoevgrad, Bourgas, Varna, Vratsa, Pleven, Plovdiv, Rousse, Sofia, Stara Zagora and Veliko Tarnovo.
