Florian Lange (09/12/2009)		Dear Madam or Sir My name is Florian Lange, I work for the "Enterprise Europe Network", an official helpdesk of the EU-Commission for SMEs and science (more about the network at http://www.enterprise-europe-network.ec.europa.eu/index_en.htm). One of the tasks of the network is to give counsel to small and medium-sized enterprises that plan to 'go international' and invest abroad. I am asking on behalf of a client of mine, a company from northern Germany. The company produces machinery for the food and feed industry, e. g. - machinery for malting, machinery for the production of pasta, machinery for the processing of sugar or rice ... - machinery for the the production of feed, pet-food, pellets for aquacultures - machinery to process biomass/ food leftovers for the production of renewable energy (mainly diesel) The company is looking for information on funding programmes – for example in the framework of the structural funds – and loans/ credits at reduced interest for investments of companies in machinery like that. The idea behind this is, to inform potential clients in Bulgaria about the possibility to obtain financial aid or a credit at reduced rates to co-finance the investment. Could You please send me information on programmes or initiatives in Your county, that foster such an investment of a local company to update the machinery in operation or to expand the range of products? I heard that there is a bulgarian programme called "Upgrade of technologies in enterprises” but I could not find detailed information. Could You please send me details of this programme? Ben Skelton (05/03/2009)		Dear Sir/Madam: I would like to enquire about funding grants that might be available to a Bulgarian copper producer (located near Pirdop, Bulgaria). Funding would be put towards protecting plant machinery during winter months when cold weather prohibits production. This would increase the operational effectiveness of the plant making its copper production prices more competitive within the European economy.
